Goa’s Archana bags Ju-Jitsu silver

Archana Sharma from Mapusa did the country proud by bagging the silver medal in the Seniors Female (21 years & older) -55kgs Fighting system (Combat) by defeating strong contenders from hosts Vietnam, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan only to lose in the finals after a tough bout against an experienced Thai, Siramol Deepudsa.

The 25-year-old recently bagged gold and silver at the 2nd Ju-Jitsu Nationals held at Delhi under the aegis of Ju-Jitsu Association of India (JAI).
The 2nd Asian Ju-Jitsu Championship 2017 held at Hanoi, Vietnam from August 10-14 was her very first representation at the international event.
Sharma will be representing India in the Ju-Jitsu event at the Asian Indoor Martial Art Games to be held at Turkmenistan in mid September, 2017, which has been cleared at no cost to Government.
Goa's Angela R Naik and Cdr. CM Bhatia after completing the Referee Refresher Course, refereed at the 2nd Asian Ju-Jitsu Championship at Hanoi, Vietnam.
