Senior Bhajani artiste of Koparde, Sattari have been felicitated by Bramhani Bhajani Mandal association for their long lasting contribution towards Bhajans in village.
They were felicitated at the hands of social worker Vasudev Parab recently in special function organised at the village temple. Addressing the function Parab congratulated the organisation for such unique way for encouraging this senior artiste who has really contributed lot for this culture. "Because of them we can see the Bhajani culture in our temple now," said Parab. Pandurang Gawas, vice chairman of the Sattari Farmers Cooperative Society appealed all the people to follow the work to encourage artiste from their particular villages. The 20 odd artistes that were felicitated were Babi Sawant, Pandurang Sawant, Yeso Sawant, Dato T . Sawant, Rama V.Sawant, Babani Sawant, Krishna Sawant, Mahadev Sawant, Ankush G.Sawant, Dato C.Sawant, Gopal Apa Sawant, Pandurang Gawas, Shivram Sawant, Ravindra Sawant, Gurudas Gawas, Fatu Pawar, Popat Parwar, Tulshidas Naik ,Fakroji Gawade and Fato Chorlekar.
