Panaji bypoll is set to be a one-sided contest, and Congress might find itself to be in a lonely position, said Goa Forward President Vijai Sardesai on Saturday. Ashok Naik's denial to contest elections on Congress ticket has proved that there is no place for Congress in Panaji, said Sardesai. Replying to question on how Babush Monserrate's entry into Goa forward will benefit the BJP, Vijai said that Babush need not prove beneficial to the BJP as he belongs to Goa Forward. Congress had previously gained two MLAs due to Babush. Commenting on wheather they will now come to Goa Forward, Vijai replied saying that in politics, two plus two can be 22

He further stated that Goa Forward has nothing to do with internal issues within the BJP.
