Any desecration info? Approach police: CM

Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Sunday said anyone having any information on the desecration of religious structures should approach the police with the information, promising that the police will act accordingly.

MARGAO: The Chief Minster made the statement when the media drew his attention to a Church affiliated body casting doubt on the involvement of a lone person in the desecration incidents. “If they have any information on the accused persons, let them tell us. We will act,” Parrikar told the meida. He said it is not a question of anyone casting doubts on the involvement of accused Francis Pereira in the incident, adding that the police will certainly initiate action against anyone based on information furnished by the citizens. “It is not the question of someone doubting on the police breakthrough in the case. If anyone has any information, let them give it to the police and the police will act accordingly,” the Chief Minister said.
