the goan I networkrPANAJIrrAddressing a press conference, to brief media persons about Shah’s programme, State BJP president Vinay Tendulkar said that issue has not reverberated in the state.r“Amit Shah ji is coming to work for the organisation in Goa. The issues which you have raised (anxiety over lynchings, beef eating), there is no problem as such in Goa. We will face 2019 elections by bringing together all people, from all religions and castes in Goa,” Tendulkar said.rWhen asked why the state BJP was silent over the lynchings happening across the country, but were quick to condemn the killing of a calf by youth Congress leaders in Kerala, Tendulkar said that the party has released statements from time to time and that the Congress own leaders had condemned the public killing of the calf in Kerala and dismissed the members.rHowever, Curchorem legislator Nilesh Cabral was unequivocal that these public lynchings have to be condemned.r“I’m willing to give a statement from my own behalf. Nobody can be allowed to take the law into their own hands. I have condemned this. I will speak in the assembly,” Cabral said. Earlier Cabral listed out the itinerary of Amit Shah which includes him arriving on July 1 and holding a series of meetings with various persons including local leaders -- panches and sarpanches and zilla parishad members, meetings with ministers and MLAs. The national president will also meet prominent Goan professionals besides inaugurating the South Goa District Office of the BJP.rThe two day visit of the BJP national president is part of a nationwide tour of the national president as part of the strengthening of the organization of the party ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
