Two Swift cars, one which belongs to Pilerne-Marra Panch Karan Govekar, have been reported missing from Porvorim.

In his complaint, Pilerne-Marra Panch Karan Govekar told Porvorim Police that he had parked his car (GA-03-R-3933) in front of his house at Pilerne at 11.45 pm on Saturday. However, he found the car stolen on Sunday morning.
Porvorim Police registered the complaint under Section 379 of IPC and Hawaldar Dnyaneswar Naik is investigating the case.
Speaking to The Goan, Govekar said the police are yet to trace the vehicle. “I went to Dodamarg and Keri checkposts and checked the CCTV footage, but could not notice the car crossing the Goa border,” he said.
He said he later checked the CCTV footage of Mall de Goa and found his car proceeded towards Panaji. The police have sent wireless messages to all the police stations,
said Govekar.
In another case, Jagannath Kolvalkar of PDA Colony has filed a complaint with Porvorim Police station stating that his Swift car (GA-03-P-7032), which was parked in an open space opposite his house at about 11.30 pm on Saturday, was also stolen sometime during the night and could not locate it in the morning.
Police suspect that a gang of car thieves could be operating in the area as both the cars were of the same model and both were stolen from where they were parked in Porvorim.
Police have registered the complaint of theft and PSI Sagun Sawant is investigating
the case.
