The flat on the third floor at Campal Apartment belonged to complainant, Adv Sapna Arondekar.  According to police, the complainant left her flat at around 10.30 am and when she returned back at around 1 pm found her front door open and two of her cupboards ransacked.
The building has eight flats in all, out of which only two are occupied and rest are all closed.
There are two shops on the ground floor which were open but none of them could provide any clue to the police.
Mapusa PI, Tushar Lotlikar visited the flat in the afternoon. PSI, Dipesh Shetkar and Yogendra Garudi are investigating the case further.
