20-yr-old killed, two injured in Balli accident

A 20-year-old youth was killed and two others injured in an head-on collision between a two-wheeler and a Scorpio at Balli on early Sunday morning.

According to Cuncolim police, the accident occurred when the Scorpio jeep was proceeding from Balli to Kepem while the deceased, one Sankesh as well as the injured duo --- Siddhesh and Viraj --- all residents of Morpirla, were coming in the opposite direction. 
The head-on collision between the two vehicles resulted in the trio getting seriously injured. 
While Sankesh was declared brought dead at Primary Health Centre, Balli, the seriously injured duo was rushed to GMC, Bambolim for further treatment, police informed.   
Meanwhile, one Raju, who was injured in an accident involving a two-wheeler and a bus on Saturday has also been shifted to GMC, Bambolim for further treatment. 
The victim was knocked down from his two-wheeler in a collision involving a bus which occurred at Cuncolim market.   
Cuncolim police are investigating the case.
