Verna cop goes missing in Sawantwadi

A 22-year-old police constable from Assagao, attached to the Verna police station, has been reported missing in Sawantwadi for about rna week.

According to police, the mother of missing police constable filed a police complaint at the Sawantwadi police station on Thursday stating that her son, Vivek Pendse, had gone missing since June 8.   
The mother said her son had left home on June 7 and later informed his family on June 8 about his stay at a lodge in Sawantwadi.   
Family members tried contacting Pendse on several occasions and when he did not establish contact with them, concerned family members went to Sawantwadi in search of him.
