The Sangam Kane family staying at Fatorda became the latest victim of the burglars when the miscreants lifted away a TV, camera, cell phone, besides cash of Rs 5000, all amounting to around Rs 90,000.
What’s interesting to note is the fact that the burglars effected entry into the bungalow by removing the window grills when the inmates were sleeping inside. Two stones were also found inside the house.
The incident is believed to have taken place sometime between midnight and 5 am on Thursday. Kane told The Goan that he had gone to bed at round midnight and woke up at around 5 am only to find the bungalow burgled with items such as TV, camera, cell phone and cash missing from the house.
This is the second instance wherein the burglars have effected entry into a bungalow through the windows by removing the iron grills. In the case of Davorlim burglary too in the bungalow of the Shenoi family, the burglars had effected entry inside by bending the iron grills by removing the screws.
