Salcete Strikers & Quepem Hitters booked their place in the semis of the Geno Masters T-20 Veterans cricket tournament organized by Geno Cricket Club of Mapusa at Dr Rajendra Prasad Stadium, Margao.
MARGAO: In the first match, Salcete Strikers defeated Mormugao Giants by 3 wickets. Batting first, Mormugao Giants scored 150 for 5 in 20 overs with Arif top scoring with 61. In reply, Salcete Strikers achieved the target in the 17th over with 3 wickets in hand. Man of the match, Devashish Bagchi top scored with 60 runs.In the second match, Quepem Hitters defeated Ponda Panthers by 71 runs. Quepem Hitters scored 185 for in 20 overs with Man of the match Sandeep Madgaonkar scoring 65 runs and later, Avdhoot Amonkar and Rajdeep bundled out Ponda Panthers’ inning for 114 runs.
