Seminar on RERA held in Belagavi

Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Association of India (CREDAI) national president Jaxay Shah has advised young builders and developers not to be scared of the Real Estate Regulatory Act (RERA), as it would help the construction industry grow over a period of time.

Shah who was in Belagavi on Friday was addressing young builders from South India after inaugurating the seminar ‘Crest.’ The CREDAI Belagavi has hosted the two-day seminar organised by the youth wing of CREDAI.   
“Do not panic over RERA as CREDAI has already been practicing the guidelines incorporated in the act. However, the era of profit maximization at the cost of stakeholders is over and hence, those who adapt to evolving changes in the industry will not only survive, but also succeed,” he said.   
About 125 budding developers, builders and associates from Southern India are taking part in the seminar.   
CREDAI president-elect Satish Magar, secretary Rohitraj Modi of Ashiana Homes and Shantilal Kataria of Aditya Group, CREDAI Karnataka president V K Jagdish Reddy and CREDAI South Zone vice president A Siva Reddy were present.   
Satish Magar advised the young builders to be friendly with the end customers.   
“Twenty-five years ago, builders and developers used to command the market, but things have reversed and hence, everyone in the industry needs to focus on the buyers,” Magar said. CREDAI Belagavi president Qais Noorani welcomed and spoke about the construction scenario in and around Belagavi.
