Fr Agnel YSC enter Raia Cup quarters

Fr Agnel Youth Sports Club, Paroda edged past Goan Warrior 1-0 and entered the quarter-finals of All Goa FC Raia Cup inter-village football tournament organized by FC Raia at Panchayat grounds, Raia on Friday. There was no score at lemon-break.

In an evenly contested match, both the teams displayed attacking brand of soccer and kept the crowds on their toes. Both had equal number of scoring chances but their forwards misfired from close range. 
Post resumption the battle become livelier as both the teams went for attack in search of match winner.
Fr Agnel struck the match winner when Benson Rebello unleashed a stiff shot which crashed into the net off Sezvin Fernandes. 
Yesterday, Curtorim Gymkhana overcome Betalbatim Sporting Club 1-0 with Jessel Carniero scoring a first half winner.
Fr AgnelYouth  SC will meet Curtorim Gymkhana in the quarter-finals on May 22.
