PWD overpower GMC by 6 wkts

PWD defeated GMC by 6 wickets in the All Goa Civil Services cricket tournament organized by Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs at SAG grounds, Chicalim on Wednesday. Batting first, GMC scored 136 runs in 19.5 overs with Sarfaraz Ahmed top- scoring with 40, followed by Kunal Phadte’s 29 runs.

MARGAO:  Naresh Parsekar was the pick of the bowler who took 3 wickets for  33 runs while Chandan Gawas took 2 for 22 while Someshwar Adpaikar bagged 1 wicket. In reply, PWD achieved the winning target in the 15th over scoring 137 for 4. Naresh Parsekar excelled with bat, scoring unbeaten 36, followed by Sagar Shet 35, Shailesh Naik 19 and Someshwar Adpaikar who contributed with an unbeaten 16 runs. For GMC, Brahmanand Pawar took 2 for 37.
