Striking the right chord

Having worked on a host of films, Bengali music composer Raja Narayan Deb has now composed music for the Konkani film K Sera Sera– Ghodpachem Ghoddtelem, which won a National award for Best Regional (Konkani) Film. Raja was in Goa for the film’s premier and he speaks about his experience working on his first Konkani film

Raja Narayan Deb has successfully composed music for films belonging to a variety of genres. Hailing from the culturally rich city of Kolkata, Raja Narayan Deb in no uncertain terms acknowledges that renowned Bengali director Rituparno Ghosh has been instrumental in offering him the opportunity to work on films like The Last Lear starring Amitabh Bachchan among others. 
The film K Sera Sera– Ghodpachem Ghoddtelem, is directed by Rajiv Shinde and produced by GayatriPednekar and Rajesh R. Pedneka. The star cast include Palomi Ghosh, Rajesh R Pednekar, Prince Jacob, John D’Silva and Salil Naik among others. In addition to winning the ‘Best Regional film’ award at the hands of honourable Prime Minister Pranab Murkerjee at the 64th National Film Awards 2017, the film has already received accolades, having won the ‘Worldfest – Special Jury Remi’ award at the 50th Houston International Film Festival and it was the only Konkani film that was selected in the Indian Panorama section at the 47th International film festival of India (IFFI). While the film will be screened at the Cannes Film Festival Market later this year,
