PANAJI:
At last count the online petition had gained nearly 3500 signatures -- 3494 to be exact -- and was well on course to cross the figure of 5,000 over the next couple of days.
The petition initiated by Non Resident Goan Mahesh Sardesai is a bid to highlight the efficiency of cab aggregators as opposed to the ‘gundagiri’ and cartelisation offered by the local taxi lobby. Sardesai has found support both from local Goans as well as from tourists who have endless negative experiences of dealing with taxi operators in Goa.
