Five cables will be stretched on either side of each of the four towers grounded in the river water.
The cables, which form the main design attraction of the under-construction second largest cable-stayed bridge in India, will run parallel to each other and ultimately form a harp-like pattern supporting the 150 mts span over Mandovi waters, of the total 660 mts-long bridge.
Segments 3, 5, 9, 11 and 13 have been marked for stretching and grounding cables on either side of towers.
The pre-stressed cables running stitching spans measuring 50 mts and the cables from the pylons together comprise the extradosed structure of the bridge. The cable-stayed tech is the latest, longer-lasting tech with aesthetic values in creation of the bridge.
