“Politics changes on a daily basis…and if the developments in the State are of any indication, it changes every hour…” Lobo told The Goan.
A day after blowing hot and cold on his party’s decision to nominate him for the post of deputy speaker, a more malleable Lobo said he was a party man and therefore had to toe the party line.
“I have filed my nomination as per the directions issued by the party to me,” he said, and vowed to work as a dedicated party soldier.
The Calangute legislator said he would remain in his post as long as the government lasts, when quizzed whether he would remain a deputy speaker for the next five years.
“I will be here as long as my party is in the government,”
he said.
Stating that political contours in the State were changing at a quick pace, he said one would never know who would quit next.
“We already have one by-election in one assembly constituency,” he said, referring to Valpoi.
“Another two may follow,” he added, not willing to identify who those two were.
