“Some say that development cannot be undertaken if the MLA is in the opposition, but it is not true. If you have interest to do work, development can be undertaken easily and there is no need for the ministry,” said Sopte when asked if Mandrem constituency will suffer a setback in development as he was not part of the ruling government.
Sopte said he was committed towards development of Mandrem constituency. “I won’t quit if any challenges obstruct me in the way of development. I will retain the trust of the people and I need people’s co-operation,”
he added.
“What happens if I am in the opposition? I will humbly request the ruling government and will boost developmental works in Mandrem constituency,” he said.
