Michelle Obama on MasterChef Junior!

13th February 2017, 12:00 Hrs

First Lady and all-around icon Michelle Obama is officially going to be a guest star on an upcoming episode of the cooking competition, with the fifth season set to premiere soon FOX. Michelle's appearance on the show is due to the departure of former judge Graham Elliot – instead of replacing him, the show has opted to bring on a slew of guests. Besides Michelle, other celebrity judges include Martha Stewart and a few Muppets This isn't the former first lady's first time appearing on cooking shows. She filmed an episode of "Barefoot Contessa" with host Ina Garten at the White House last year. Michelle has always been an advocate for fighting childhood obesity especially during her time as First Lady of the United States. The Let’s Move! campaign was launched by the former First Lady back in 2010 in an effort to raise a healthier generation of US kids and created America’s first-ever national taskforce on childhood obesity.

Since leaving her role as first lady in late January, Michelle and Barack have spent some much-needed quality time together away from the public spotlight. They immediately left Washington D.C. after Donald Trump's inauguration and jetted off to Palm Springs. Of course, Barack played multiple rounds of golf!
