With India well into digital age and taking huge strides forward in the digital field, there are still huge number of Indians who still do not enjoy these benefits and remain disconnected. With an aim of achieving digital literacy and providing digital access to all so as to overcome the information gap and help build an equitable society, Osama Manzar, social entrepreneur, writer and angel investor, founded the Digital Empowerment Foundation.

A physics graduate, Manzar has a post-graduate diploma in Journalism and is credited for covering at least 200 Information Communications Technologies and Development (ICTD) case studies in India and South Asia. He has traveled to more than 2,000 villages in India and South Asia, and 30 other countries. Manzar will enlighten Goa further on the scale of solutions to the digital divide when he delivers a talk about The World of Unconnected Billions on January 29 at Museum of Goa, Pilerne.
