BJP had submitted nine advertisements that were aimed at promoting their schemes to MCMC for approval. They had, however, been rejected for violation of the code. The BJP had then filed an appeal with the state level panel which held a hearing on Tuesday.
At the hearing, the committee cleared seven of the nine advertisements and asked for clarification on the other two. Speaking to media persons, CEO Kunal said, “There was some sort of misunderstanding among the members of the district MCMC, which was later cleared.”
