400 km BRM cycle ride on Jan 21

Tri Goa Foundation, a trust promoted by Rajesh Malhotra of ProByk, Panaji will organise its first 400 km 'Brevets De Randonneur Mondiaux (BRMs) in Goa on Saturday, January 21.

The Brevet starts at 5am (Jan 21) and ends at 8 am (Jan 22) at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao. The 10 randonneurs ( endurance cyclists) that have registered shall ride to Karwar turnaround to Bali, Tambdi Surla, Sanquelim, Banda, Zarap and back to Margao via Panaji. The riders will have to complete the distance of 400 kms in 27 hrs to qualify.

BRMs are bicycle rides of fixed distances that are to be completed within specified time limits, having successfully passed through pre-determined time controls. BRMs worldwide are approved and governed by Audax Club Parisien (ACP). Audax India Randonneurs (AIR) conducts and oversees all Randonneuring and Audax events in India. Tri Goa Foundation is representing Audax India in Goa.

The start of the Paris Brevet culture, one of the oldest endurance formats originating from France will give a chance to Goan Riders to meet and participate with riders across India.
