Goa Police 'A' emerged champions in the Goa Police Beach Kabaddi Police Cup for the second consecutive year in the tournament held at Miramar beach recently.
Goa Police 'A' Team defeated Mangeshi Riders in the semi-finals whereas Goa Police team 'B' defeated IRB 'A' Team to enter the finals.
In the finals, Goa Police Team 'A' defeated Goa Police Team 'B' by a margin of 9 points.
Samrat Gaonkar of Goa Police Team 'A' was awarded the Best Defender and Gitiesh Gaws of Goa Police Team 'B' bagged the Best Raider of the Tournament title.
A total of 32 teams from all over Goa participated in the two-day tournament. The Goa Police Beach Kabaddi Police Cup received overwhelming crowd support on both the days the event was held.
The prize distribution function was held at the hands of Karthik Kashyap, IPS Superintendent of Police and in the presence of Atul Sabre HR Manager MRF, Madhukar Kunkalikar, Mahesh Gaonkar SDPO Mapusa, Anthony Monserrate Dy SP Sports, Amit Borkar PI Sports, Damudar Naik PI IRBn and Dataguru Sawant PI Crime.
