Here’s a scenario you can try and make sense of. Boy gets chased by thugs and shot at while he’s attempting to call the police. In the resulting attack, parts of a smartphone get lodged in his brain (you don’t say!) and his life begins to change. He now has a heightened sense of reality and begins to pick this gang of thugs out one by one, or in some cases, a car load of them. This is the basic premise of the Netflix original film called iBoy, based on a book with the same name. Tom is the boy in question and he stars opposite Maisie Williams, better known as Arya Stark from Game of Thrones. When Lucy (Williams) is being attacked, her assailants are surprised by Tom walking in, and the resultant chase ends up with Tom being shot. That is when the movie really starts. This is all matter gleaned from the trailer and a little bit of research online. Interesting isn’t it? Safe to say Maisie Richardson has a bigger role than what we get from the trailer but is this movie going to get critical acclaim? The book wasn’t well received, so let’s hope the movie fares much better. Watch the trailer to iBoy here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FbEWtpSmJXg
