Fight against sinister plans before elections

Every five years Assembly elections are held to choose the leaders to
govern, legislate and serve the people. Surprisingly this year, even much
before the names of the candidates are declared the race to occupy the CM
chair has begun. Each party thinks that their own candidate will be the next
CM. Nothing is wrong to have such fantasies before the elections. What is
intriguing is the way the power-hungry mongers go about to capture the CM
chair even before elections. Just to achieve their goal, they are ready to go
to any extent. This is exactly the problem of the Congress in Goa. A grandfather
from North and another grandfather from South are vying to get elected
on Congress tickets and with the help of other parties or candidates they
want to capture the CM’s chair. Coming together of the like-minded parties
and having common ideologies to keep communal forces at bay is certainly
a right thing to do at the right time. But having coalition with different parties
just to be a chief minister is definitely a sinister plan. Tainted leaders,
leaders who have looted Goa will never be able to provide good governance.
Instead of self-promoting, these grandfathers should have supported young
leaders. Goan voters must be vigilant against such sinister plans.
