2.0

Any film featuring Rajnikanth is always a huge deal especially down south. And with Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar also all set to feature in this film, it is no surprise that fans can hardly contain their excitement over this one. With images of Akshay in a crow avatar also doing to rounds online, the intrigue over 2.0 has only shot up. The Indian science fiction film which is the successor to the 2010 Tamil film 'Enthiran', will see Thalaiva Rajinikanth reprising the roles of Dr. Vaseegaran and Chitti while Amy Jackson will be playing the female lead. The film which is expected to release in mid October, will be out in three languages: Tamil, Hindi and Telugu and with an estimated budget of 400 crore (4 billion), it is the most expensive Indian film till date.

Jolly LLB 2

One more from Akshay Kumar, this film will see the actor taking over from Arshad Warsi in what is a sequel to the 2013 hit ‘Jolly LLB’ which also starred Boman Irani. The courtroom drama will this time also see the entry of Huma Qureshi . The film has been directed by Subhash Kapoor and will see a special appearance from Saurabh Shukla and Arshad Warsi. The film is scheduled to release on February 10. Akshay recently also revealed that one of the songs from the film He's a Jully Good Fellow was inspired by his little daughter Nitara.

Judwaa 2

Varun Dhawan is all set to take up after Salman Khan as he will be playing the lead role in the sequel to the 1997 comedy hit film Judwaa which saw Bhai in a double role. And Varun is pretty excited about it. The actor has already set up two Twitter accounts for the brothers who have conversations with each other. The actor has also been showing keen interest in picking up the tunes for the film. Taapsee Pannu and Jacqueline Fernandez will play the female leads in the film. It is also rumoured that Karishma Kapoor who played the original female lead and Salman himself could have cameos in the film. The film is directed by David Dhawan and will be out on September 29.

Baahubali – The Conclusion

SS Rajamouli's Baahubali: The Beginning became one of the highest grosser of all time in 2015. The magnas opus was so popular that it went on to spur video games and comic books on the story as well. And after waiting forever to learn why Kattappa killed Baahubali, all will be revealed as the sequel to the film is slated to release on April 28.

Badrinath Ki Dulhania

Varun Dhawan has another exciting release scheduled this year. The actor together with his Student of the Year partner Alia Bhatt will reunite for the sequel to the 2014 hit film ‘Humpty Sharma ki Dulhania’ . Also starring in the film are Gauahar Khan, Shweta Basu Prasad of ‘Makdee’ fame and Karan Singh Grover. ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ will release on March 10 just in time for Holi and once again Varun has not been able to contain his excitement over the film stating that despite finishing shooting for the film, he wasn't quite ready to let go of his character.

Golmaal 4

The trio of Ajay Devgn, Tushar Kapoor and Arshad Warsi are set to make viewers giggle with their antics yet again as they return for yet another instalment of the Golmal franchise. Soon after Rohit Shetty announced this news, there was a lot of speculation as to who the leading lady would be this time around with Shraddha Kapoor's name especially doing the rounds. However it was finally confirmed that Parineeti Chopra had bagged the spot. While earlier scheduled to release in Diawali 2017, the makers have decided to postpone the date to avoid a clash with 2.0. The new date is yet to be finalised. The film will also mark the ninth collaboration of the super-hit duo Rohit Shetty-Ajay Devgn.

Naam Shabana

Akshay Kumar's fine performance in this brilliant film actually had fans begging for a sequel. However rather than a sequel the makers of the film have opted for a prequel in this case. Naan Shabana will see Taapsee Pannu playing the lead role while Akshay will just have a cameo in it although it has been emphasized that it will be a crucial one. The film is expected to be out on March 31.
