Meeting slated for next week; project proposals worth Rs 120 cr and creation of nearly 1,124 jobs on the cards

The 13th meeting of the Goa State Investment Promotion and Facilitation Board (Goa–IPB) to be held next week is expected to discuss 10 industrial project proposals with an expected investment of nearly Rs 120 crore with an expected employment generation of 1,124, if all the projects are cleared by IPB.
The project with maximum investment has been proposed by M/s Encube Ethicals Pvt Ltd amounting to Rs 43.50 crore. The project looks at setting up a new unit for expansion of the existing manufacturing facility which is into manufacturing to topical formulation cream, ointments, lotions, solutions and gels at Madkaim industrial estate.
The project proposed by M/s Sofytech Engineers has projected maximum employment generation of 562. The project's proposal looks at setting up of a new manufacturing unit of sheet metal components and all types of AC brackets. It has, however, asked for a plot of 6,000 to 6,500 square mts at Honda Industrial Estate.
M/s Kineco Kaman Composites India Private Limited has proposed expansion and modernisation of its manufacturing facility to increase its capacity to cater to the requirements of aerospace and defence primes, railways, automotives, etc. with an investment of Rs 15 crore
Another project proposal by M/s Kineco Limited is for expansion of the existing manufacturing facility which too is to cater to the requirements of railway coach interiors and exteriors, pultruded radomes foor telecom industry, automotive, aerospace and defence primes, among others. Both these proposals have projected employment generation of 175 which are specifically Goans.
M/s Franstek Belts Private Limited has proposed setting up of a new manufacturing unit for industrial belts. While the total investment is Rs 6 crore, the employment generation projected is 75 persons. They have however requested for a plot admeasuring 8,000 to 10,000 sq mts at Verna or Shiroda industrial estate.
M/s Livom Pharma has proposed to set up q new pharmaceutical manufacturing unit for paracetamol tablets and marketing and distribution of essential generic medicines. They have asked for a plot of 5000 sq mts at Verna or Kundaim industrial estate.
The proposal of M/s Ramdev Plastic Industries is to set up anew manufacturing unit for plastic injection moulded articles for which they have asked for a plot of 6,000 sq mts at Honda industrial estate. However, the investment proposed is Rs 5.35 crore, employment projected is of 40 persons.
M/s Krishna Tia Packaging has proposed an investment of Rs 6.49 crore to set up a new manufacturing unit to manufacture plastic injection moulding and blow moulding and granules. The total employment generation projected is 50 persons.
