TVS Motor Company clocked a sales growth of 20 per cent during the month of August, with total sales increasing from 227,653 units recorded in the month of August 2015 to 274,303 units in the month of August 2016. The total two wheeler sales increased by 23.5 per cent from 216,781 units recorded in August 2015 to 267,670 units in the corresponding period. Domestic two-wheeler sales grew by 30.1 per cent increasing from 183,653 units in August last year to 238,984 units in the corresponding month this year.
Scooter sales grew by 5.1 per cent from 72,865 units in the month of August 2015 to 76,572 units in August 2016. Motorcycle sales grew by 31.2 per cent increasing from 87,044 units in the month of August 2015 to 114,195 units in August 2016.
The three-wheeler segment of the company registered sales of 6,633 units in August 2016 as against 10,872 units in August 2015.
The company's total exports registered sales of 34,097 units in the month of August 2016 as against 42,570 units in August 2015. Two-wheeler exports registered sales of 28,686 units in August 2016 as against 33,128 units in August 2015.
