Teen from Daujim-Old Goa commits suicide

OLD GOA: A 16-year-old girl from Daujim-Old Goa committed suicide at her home on Thursday evening.
According to police reports, the incident took place at around 6 pm, when the parents were not in the home. They came to know about it when they returned home at around 8 pm.
On receiving information, an Old Goa police team rushed to the site and conducted the panchanama. Later, the body was referred to the GMC for an autopsy.
While the motive behind the suicide was unclear as investigations were in progress, Old Goa police suspect that the girl had failed in Std 9 and that could have led to the drastic action.
