Music fest at Margao

The two-day 15th Ganatapasvini Mogubai Kurdikar Smruti Sangeet Sammelan-2016 will begin on March 12, at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao.
Organised by Swarmanch Margao, in association with the Directorate of Art and Culture and Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, the sammelan will be inaugurated by Hindustani classical exponent Dr Alka Deo Marulkar on Saturday.
The first session will commence on Saturday, at 6 pm where Pt Krishnendra Wadikar (Hubli) will render vocals. The second session will commence at 8 pm where Pt Vijay Sardeshmukh (Pune) will render vocals.
The third session will commence on March 13, at 5 pm with Dattaraj Mhalshi and Dattraj Surlakar (both from Goa) performing on the harmonium, which will be followed by a vocal recital by Shivani Marulkar Dasakkar (Pune). The final session will be at 8 pm the same day where Pt Ganpati Bhat (Dharwad) will render vocals.
The vocalists will be accompanied by Raya Korgaonkar, Dattaraj Mhalshi, Dattaraj Surlakar (harmonium); Sanjay Deshpande (Pune), Amar Mopkar (Goa), Shailesh Gaonkar (Goa), Uday Kulkarni (Dharwad) on the tabla. The programme will be compered by Anant Agni.
